Interior Design Services



Choosing your interiors can sometimes be overwhelming but we like to keep the experience as enjoyable and simple as possible for you. We always recommend an appointment, so that we can allocate the time needed to bring ideas to life.  We booked you in for an initial consultation, take measurements, then prepare ideas to present to you, before finalising and pricing. Once the order is placed, we do the rest and coordinate with you, when it is time for the fitting.

Concept Design

However large or small the job, there are two ways in which we work, offering an adaptable approach to suit you.

  • Home Consultation: This is the most popular, offering an initial consultation at your home. We work with you on ideas, colours, layouts and best treatments for your windows and will take a full measure. We charge a small fee for this, which is deducted off your order. A second appointment is then booked in, where we welcome you to our showroom and present our ideas. We also work off plans if your home is a building site!
  • Showroom Consultation: We welcome you to our showroom in Harrogate and run through ideas and fabric choices here. Often customers bring their own measurement so that we can give you a guide price. We also welcome Pinterest ideas, carpet samples, wall colours or even cushions etc if you would like us to match or we like the challenge of a blank canvas too!

Development & Detail

‘The devil is in the detail’ as they say and here at Fabric & Co, we pride ourselves on the detail. Working out the best most aesthetically pleasing, as well as practical for you and your home is incredibly important. We take a lot of time with you and behind the scenes, to ensure once you have made your choices that we finalise all the elements with you and produce the finished product to the best possible finish and standard.

With over 40 years combined experience Daniel and Fabric & Co’s fitter work together to deliver, fit and finish your interior schemes. Often on larger projects it is all hands-on deck and you get the full Fabric & Co team!

Frequently Asked Questions

Definitely choose your fabric first. Your fabric and furniture pieces will be the hallmark of the room and more often than not the most expensive. Matching paint finishes to that is inexpensive by comparison. You can get paint mixed to any colour that you require so you can easily match that to your fabric.
One of the most important skills an interior design has is listening to what our customer wants and giving an honest and impartial opinion. Hopefully we will open your eyes to ideas and possibilities you might not have thought of, making the design process inspirational.

We are very lucky that we have a great relationship with all our customers past and present and it is this connection that sees a project through with happy results!

Depending on how much we are doing for you the timeframe can vary but we can generally turn curtains and blinds around from start to finish in 6 weeks. We recommend planning ahead for larger projects though, so that we have time to work with you to scheme, reserve any fabrics and get the budget right!
Be honest:
Communication and honesty are absolutely essential. Designs evolve throughout the process and it’s so important to ensure both client and designer are on the same page.

Be transparent:
If you change your mind about something, then let us know as soon as possible. There’s no point having sleepless nights over an element of the design you’re not sure on.
